CIVILIAN DEATH MACHINE

Civilian Death Machine was formed back in 1987 by founding member/guitarist/singer/songwriter Meredith Rollo.

The band performed for 5 years locally in Vancouver, British Columbia and down south including Washington State, Oregon, California and the Midwest.

After 5 years of playing small tours, the band decided to hang their instruments up in the Spring of 1992 to concentrate on family obligations. At a time when the "Seattle Revolution" was gaining immense support throughout the musical community, including radio, Civilian Death Machine
like so many other bands, which had formed in the mid and late 80's as alternative and underground acts, saw the mainstream paying more attention to the songwriting talents of acts like Soundgarden, The Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chain and Nirvana and propelling them to the highest limits of the stratosphere.

Twenty years on, from that Summer of 1987, finds Civilian Death Machine playing, writing and recording again. "Nothing serious..." remarked Meredith, "...but we'd go out and do it for fun like we used to" with respect to on-stage performances.
